Water Mitigation

WATER DAMAGE

What is Water Damage Restoration?

Repairing and restoring a water-damaged property with the goal of returning it to the way it was before the flood catastrophe is known as “water damage restoration.” Water mitigation is always followed by water damage restoration.

Water mitigation is the process of stopping the immediate flow of water, assessing the type of mitigation efforts needed, extracting the water, and drying out the property.

Steps To Take:

  • Check on the stability of the structure.
  • Removing water-damaged furniture & carpeting.
  • Assessing the level & type of water damage, whether clear, gray, or black water. (Class 1, 2, or 3)
  • Extracting water with pumps & commercial-grade wet/dry vacuums.
  • Drying out areas with large fans.
  • Preventing further water damage with tarps.
  • Removing water-damaged drywall and other affected structural elements.
  • Replacing or restoring the subfloor.
  • Removing & encapsulating mold growth. (mold remediation.)
  • Repairing or replacing windows and doors.
  • Fixing any damaged roof areas.
  • Test for moisture to ensure that the property and the contents are completely dry

There are many distinct types and causes of water damage. Weather-related floods, broken or leaky pipes, roof leaks, appliance ruptures, and fire-related catastrophes are some of the most frequent sources of commercial water damage.

Despite this reason, it is undeniable that water and flood damage to your commercial property can significantly affect how your company does business. If your firm can’t get started, it can’t serve clients or make money.

The 3 types of water that define the level and cost of the mitigation and restoration services are:

  1. Clear Water: Clean water, usually potable, typically from burst water supply pipes.
  2. Gray Water: Murky water, often previously used, such as from dishwashers, tubs, sump pumps, or washing machines.
  3. Black Water: Contaminated water from toilets or sewage lines.

We proudly offer restoration services to help businesses clean up and get back on their feet after water or flood damage.
